I have created this little flash panel ( CS4 ) that help you to add or remove a prefix from every item in the library. So you can import librarys from another FLA and dont have override problems.

Gracias!

Damn! That thing won’t show up in my Flash panels after install
Any suggestions could be useful.

the root where this thing installs it´s hardcoded in spanish! you should put the swc where you have your flash installed.

I downloaded the file, added it to the extensions folder, (having quit flash) opened up flash, went to windows>other panels …. it’s not there. Did I not do that right?
I use a MAC, is that a problem?

Ian, to instal this, folow this steps:
1) Open flash
2) go to Help -> Manage Extensions (flash and extensions manager has to be open at the same time)
3) in the Extensions manager window, go to File-> Install extension
4) select the MXP that you downloaded from here.
5) when the install ends, restart flash.
6) go to Window->Other Panels->Library prefix.
DOne.
